Does your floor need cleaning or restoration?

A practical starting point for understanding buildup, damage, and natural stone.

Start with the material

Ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone can look similar in photographs. Product records, an installer, or an experienced provider can help identify the surface before choosing a process.

Separate dirt from damage

Buildup may respond to cleaning. Cracks, loose tiles, persistent dampness, or a change in surface finish need a different assessment. Repeatedly scrubbing harder can worsen some materials.

Ask for a test area

A small, inconspicuous test helps a qualified provider assess compatibility. Ask what products and equipment will be used, and what results are realistic.

Get the scope in writing

Confirm floor area, furniture moving, exclusions, drying instructions, and responsibility for any additional work. A cleaning quote should not imply that leaks or damaged grout will be repaired.

General planning guidance. Product instructions and a qualified provider’s assessment should guide the work at your property.
